Happy Leap Day! We turned the Leap Year Cocktail into ice cream today, of course drowning a scoop in more Grand Marnier.The Leap Year cocktail was invented by Henry Craddock in 1928 for the Leap Year celebrations held at London’s Savoy Hotel. Allegedly, it’s said to have been responsible for more marriage proposals than any other cocktail ever mixed. Check out Slate’s profile on the drink.
