Bolivia-05/2005: Ivan Quispe Lopez (1978) is the only policeman in the village of Yocalla (some 8000 inhabitants). He has no means of transport, does everything on foot. And no telephone; he has to use a public phone outside his office. Monthly salary: 900 bolivianos (euro 100, $113).
