Wednesday going to BAM to see The Long Count - brothers Bryce Dessner and Aaron Dessner of The National and visual artist Matthew Ritchie—combine talents to create a song-filled myth about the beginning of time. Guest vocalists Kim and Kelley Deal (The Breeders, The Pixies), Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond), Matt Berninger (The National), and a 12-piece orchestra round out the line-up in this visionary collaboration between music and art.
Thursday going to the Brooklyn Museum Members Preview of Who Shot Rock and Roll? featuring a performance by BLONDIE!
Friday accompanying my brother as he entertains clients at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary show….U2, Aretha Franklin, Annie Lennox, Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Lou Reed, Ozzy Osbourne, and Metallica! (Follow that up with Supergood Reality at Monkeytown.)
